The Institute for the Scholarship of Assessment, Learning, and Teaching (iSALT) is dedicated to the promotion of evidence-based teaching praxis at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Our mission is to promote student and faculty success by supporting, increasing and improving scholarly activities related to effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In doing so, we seek to work with faculty partners to position Minnesota State Mankato as a national and world leader in enhancing the landscape of teaching and learning.
One of the initial projects that we've taken on as part of the iSALT is the iSALT Fellows Program. We bring together a cohort of innovators (called “iSALT fellows”) from our campus each semester and provide assistance in conducting an evaluation of their innovative projects. The goal of this program is to help the iSALT fellows complete their evaluation projects and produce scholarly works that can be published in peer reviewed journals, trade publications, or as part of conference proceedings.
