Minnesota River Surveys, 1909-1912 is a series of digitized maps of Minnesota rivers and lakes by the Minnesota State Drainage Commission in cooperation with the United States Geological Survey. These maps and profiles were prepared to accompany the Report of Water Resources Investigations of Minnesota, 1909-1912. The State Drainage Commission surveyed rivers to understand Minnesota's water resources and their potential for power generation and transportation. The State Drainage Commission was also investigating options for reservoir sites and drainage systems to control flooding, limit pollution, and improve community health.
