Abstract

The following information shared by Patricia Beierwaltes provides an update based on the fourth edition of Guidelines for the Care of People with Spina Bifida (2018). Multi-professional care with emphasis on patient/family centered care establishes the foundation for prevention of untoward effects and quality of life. The pediatric nurse, both in-patient and outpatient, is central to this process.
