Description

The Tarot is a system of gaining insight into the world around us using a deck of seventy-eight cards which contain symbolic meanings associated with emotions and images. Using only the meaning associated with each card, paired with traditional symbols when necessary, I created new images for my own deck. By investigating the history of the cards, I gained better understanding of their origins and meanings. A comparison between the most well known deck, the Rider Waite Tarot, and my own showed interesting interrelations between key meanings described only in words, and the images that are associated with them.
