Description
The purpose of this research is to analyze data that has been previous collected by a local middle school regarding the school's connectedness with the students. The results were analyzed by collecting and examining the grades of previously identified students and their attendance. This is a sample of convince, the student participants were determined by the middle school staff through the use of a surveys that were implemented both in the fall and spring of the 2006-2007 and the 2007-2008 school years. The purposes of the surveys were to discover the number of professionals within the school that connected with the students as self-identified by the students as well as the professionals. Students who reported having connected with five or less professionals were chosen for this research project.
