Description

This poster session provided an overview of an archival collection, The Hood-Williamson Archives on the Serpent Handlers of Southern Appalachia, at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The collection contains 184 DVD discs of original films that document the contemporary serpent handlers of Southern Appalachia from 1975 to 2004. Adams highlighted the creation and preservation processes, the metadata access to the collection, while emphasizing the importance of the unique collection to the scholars and researchers.
