Policies

Submissions from graduate students and faculty in the Elementary & Literacy Education Department at Minnesota State University, Mankato will be accepted beginning May 2020. Submissions should be sent directly to the Editor-in-chief, who will sent the manuscript out for formal review. After the manuscript is approved, the article will be made available on this page.

Papers should provide research-based discussion of innovations and critical issues related to teaching and learning in the 21st century. Papers should apply research to practice, review literature on a relevant and timely topic, or posit new theory. Articles should run between 4,000 and 6,000 words (including main text, references, tables, and figures) and use APA formatting.

Submissions should be prepared according to the 6th edition of The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.


Further, each paper is expected to have the following sections:

  • Introduction
  • Review of Literature
  • Application/Theory Generation/Analysis
  • Implications or Discussion
