Abstract
This paper presents the development and implementation of a mechanically stabilized Earth (MSE) Wall module in FoundationPro. The software was developed to improve the teaching methodology of MSE Wall foundation design with reinforcing strips as part of the foundation engineering coursework for undergraduate level students. The user‐friendly interface software was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic. It includes several features that enables the user to perform a wide range of foundation design problems effortlessly with improved accuracy. The software, which was developed as a shareware application with no licensing restrictions, is expected to positively impact many students and educators at several engineering schools nationally and internationally.
