Description

You've found yourself playing a leadership role in cataloging, or would like to pursue a leadership role. Many of us come to this point in our careers because we've been good catalogers -- we know our subject area, we're on top of the standards. But much of our cataloging training is focused on the work itself, and not on management on a macroscale. What are the issues managers of cataloging departments face?

Our workshop will help you think about these issues, and give you practical advice and tips to take home and use, whether you are a newbie or experienced manager. We will focus on three areas especially: coping with new and evolving standards, using outsourcing as a tool, and the constant need for training.
