Abstract
A convenient source of -7 second [16N]-N2 is described, employing the deuteron irradiation of a flow-through nitrogen target, suitable for the calibration of gamma detectors to 7 MeV and beta spectrometers to 10 MeV. Its possible presence as a contaminant in 15O-gases bears watching.
