Description

As individuals most of us perceive the world through our senses-we taste, we smell, we hear and we see. Because of the development of technology - from Thomas Edison's light bulb to the recent DVD - we are bombarded with visual images. These images are so much a part of our everyday lives that we may not always take the time to appreciate what we "see" around us. As an artist my goal is to produce a sculpture that allows the viewer to take the time to "see" and reflect. The heart of the sculpture, consists of five panels of glass 8 x 66 x 7, will engage the eye of the beholder through the use of gallery lighting, reflections created by the surroundings and color painted onto the glass.
