Description
The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of maternal exercise on offspring that have normal blood pressure (WKY), but are genetically related to the SHR. The mothers of the experimental offspring will be placed into one of three groups prior to conception. The first, the sedentary (control) group, will not participate in any exercise during the research. The second, the exercised group, will be able to voluntarily exercise during pregnancy. The third, the pre-trained group, wili be allowed to use the exercise wheel in their cage before and during pregnancy. Every offspring will have their systolic blood pressure and weight measured. The blood pressure results produced from this research will be equated with the maternal regimen.
