Description
Do portfolio decisions vary with age? This paper investigates the main factors in varying portfolio decisions by individuals. In particular, the paper is focused on the dynamics of age roles in terms of selecting the potential weights in dividing individual's wealth into equity and bonds. This paper also investigates the effects of the planning horizon, which is the length of time an individual perceives when making an investment decision. The effects of a longer versus shorter planning horizon and the risk averseness among different categories of individuals regarding portfolio decisions are also discussed.
