Abstract

Dream Visitors is a poetry collection that explores the journey of finding home, the relationship between Laotian beliefs and Western beliefs, and the strength to continue forward. From the murky rivers of Laos to the frozen lakes of Minnesota, the longing to travel to a safe place and be accepted is the silent voice trapped in the speaker’s chest. The poetry collection explores the development of poor habits, the lowest point in life, and the will to recover in hopes of building a future.
