Killer Winter
Abstract
This thesis was written as an exploration of the cozy mystery genre. A synopsis of the novel’s plot is as follows: When Emily Flynn moves into her Grandma Mimi’s hobby farm and begins working as a reporter for the Pond Prairie Times, it’s a dream come true. She and her college boyfriend are finally living in the same small town, and Emily is hoping they’ll get married, build a house in the country, and live happily ever after. However, Emily’s plans begin to unravel when she finds the mayor dead in the snow, shot by his own gun. Now, she must find out who murdered him before she becomes the next victim.
