No Shadow to Hide
Abstract
No Shadow to Hide is a collection of poems and personal essays that delve into displaced family roots, questioning self-identity, and how one reaches a sense of peace that they are not healed, but scarred. Each section contains one essay as its epicenter, demanding focus and rest on the reader as if they are going through the “healing” process with the speaker--along with facing everything the speaker is trying to avoid.
