Apeman Lake
Abstract
The following is a novel manuscript. Apeman Lake focuses on Will, recently unemployed and uncertain of what direction to take in life. When Will’s grandfather dies, he inherits an Upstate cabin on what is known as Apeman Lake—a past-its-prime tourist destination and supposed home to a cryptid known as the Apeman. While arrives a skeptic, concerned more with questions about his family history and hoping to find answers among his grandfather’s belongings. He soon meets a cast of locals and uncovers layers of conspiracy and lore that move him to learning not only about his grandfather and the Apeman, but himself as well.
