Abstract

This short story collection, Lifetime Subscription (and other options), explores a variety of characters engaged in some level wayfinding, each looking for a missing piece of themselves, or for a sense of belonging. Mostly fiction, a majority of these stories are set in the upper Midwest. At times displaying dark humor, at times a degree of levity, at times an urgent seriousness, many of these stories were inspired by literary canon that ranges, from Turgenev to Chekhov, Joyce to Hemingway, Carver to McCarthy, and others beyond. This is an arrangement of tales that truly has something for everyone.
