Abstract

In this 2020 thesis titled “Under the Surface” and written for the Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing Program at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Casey Cromwell combines personal experience with medical records and outside research to explore the relationships between herself and her military father, her body and chronic illness and the way chronic illness and family influence one another.
