Abstract
This construct is how a family unit functions or copes with the illness of their child. The reason that this is an important construct is because the nurse should be able to identify and intervene when they observe a family that is not coping successfully with the illness of their child. The purpose of this presentation is to educate future healthcare providers on how families cope with illness.
