Abstract
Family fear is distressing emotions affecting a family after a diagnoses of an illness. This is important to recognize because if family fears occurs within a family, the nursing staff can help. When family fear is present, actions are influenced by a perceived threat. This presentation will help define what family fear is and give examples of how this is shown in families.
