Abstract
Family pondering has to do with thinking about the past and possible future of family life with the illness present and how the illness will impact the family. As we know, family is different for everyone. Some families have stronger connections among one another than other families do. When an individual gets sick, the entire family is usual affected. Anticipating how life with an ill relative may be in the future is important to prepare for changes within how the family functions. The purpose of this presentation is to give information about family pondering and how an illness can affect it (such as Jamie in "Why She Smiles").
