Abstract
The concept of family vigilance can be described as family members watching over a hospitalized loved one. Family vigilance is important because the changing health of a loved one affects the whole family, along with altering the roles within the family. The purpose of this presentation is to explore family vigilance with a focus on its effects on a family with a loved one receiving hospice care.
