Description
This project takes an in depth look at children with Down Syndrome (DS). Specific areas of research included language impairment/delay. In addition to researching the background and typical characteristics of DS the project delves deeper into the speech and language aspects incorporated with the syndrome. This project was done using qualitative inquiry with a specific case study. The researcher attempted to uncover the experience(s) of a family associated with the syndrome. The findings were transcribed and categorized to find an overall pattern that best explained the case study and family's experience with DS.
