Description
Previous studies have suggested that computer anxiety is a problem among college students. However, there has been limited research that has compared individual differences between Personal Computer users and Macintosh users. The purpose of this research is to compare differences in anxiety and fear of negative evaluation between individuals that utilize these two differing platforms. Participants in this study will answer a series of questionnaires which include the Computer Anxiety Rating Scale, Math Anxiety Rating Scale, the Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation and the State Anxiety questionnaire. It is hypothesized that individuals who use Macintosh Computers will show higher rates of computer anxiety when compared to Personal Computer users. Additionally, it is also predicted that individuals who have higher computer anxiety will also have higher math anxiety, fear of negative evaluation and state anxiety.
